Opening Day - September 9, 2023
Practice schedules are at the coaches' discretion. Typical practices are twice a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, between 5 and 8, for 1 to 2 hours. Practices typically begin late July to early August, again at the coaches’ discretion. Practices are typically held at Florin Creek Park or Parkway Elementary School depending on age bracket.

All players U-5 through U-8 will be playing by new rules adopted by all of US Youth Soccer. The games will be played on smaller fields, without referees. All ages U-5 to U-8 will be played 4v4 on 2 fields next to each other. So 8 players will be playing at the same time. These small sided games for U5-U8 will all be played at Parkway, West Sacramento, Dixon, Natomas, Fruitridge, or Clarksburg. These teams will be co-ed and play without goalies. The coaches will be the referees, as needed, and no official score will be kept. All other age groups will play within SYSL and they will have referees and score will be kept. No U-14 or under player will allowed to head the ball in a game.
